Front Wiper Arm ...

This is probably a really dumb question, but my front driver's wiper doesn't work properly.

There's clearly a spring mechanism both under the arm itself (in the hollow part) and there appears to be another spring mechanism above the arm itself, to apply pressure to the arm.

Something's come loose, and I don't know how it originally went.

If anyone's got a few spare seconds to upload a picture of their functioning 1997 4Runner front driver arm for me to compare so I can fix this guy, lemme know.

Or maybe this is a common problem, that there's a common solution for?

It hasn't even been 12 hours since you started the thread. Relax. Post up pictures of what you want to see and I will get some up tonight if no one else has responded. Odds are we can tell you what's wrong if you post pics. We'll definitely help you get that fixed.

Wow, that's a really ghetto fix haha. Looks like a previous owner was too cheap to properly fix the wiper arm. I'd go ahead and buy another wiper arm.

Just get a new arm from the wrecker, $10 fix.
