I know this maybe a cardinal sin but....

I just got my 3rd gen. and I also am broke...I caught that bug that was going around called unemployment. Just started working again but it is all commision based. So mods are on back burner.

The 4runner came with the split spoke. Not my fav but I believe I got a good deal on the 4runner as a whole.

I have been searching the paint threads to spruce up my wheels a bit and scanning CL for a good deal on FJ rims or T4R 5stars as options. None to be had at a good deal.

I just ran across these. The size and backspacing is the same and honestly I have always liked these wheels (not the trucks but just the wheel) 04 nissan frontier wheels LIKE NEW for sale .

Has anyone done this? It maybe in bad form but it's not like I am considering putting a crate 350 in my 4R. lol.

i havent seen that on a 4runner yet, but it might be worth a shot.

but in all fairness, i saw a xterra with tundra wheels on it, and i got all bent out of shape because i wanted those same wheels :mad:
 
i think the rims look damn good.show pics of them on youre 4runner if you get them on id like to see what it looks like
 
I dont know how far you would go for wheels but i rain across these 5 spoke wheels on CL in Auburn, AL the other day. Its a great deal i wish i was in the market for some new ones.

HMM....thanks for the link I can't believe the price either. I wonder if the guy wants to trade for my martin compound bow lol.

I think those frontier wheels look great. If they are the same bolt pattern, Bore size, and backspacing, then go for it. I think $300 is a little high for wheels, but I paid that for a set that I am now going to try to sell. Try to talk him down a bit if you can, since the tires are worthless and they don't have centercaps.
 
I think those are 15" rims by the 15/7 at the end. They won't fit unless you had 15" rims from the factory. You might want to check on that first.
 
those wheels would look nice. im sure that guy wouldnt mind if you test fit them first.... but i do think nissans like chevys run a smaller center bore diameter though... test them out and let us know :naughty:
 
id say go for it! If its a good deal you will have something unique for sure.

I once saw one of those funky looking Isuzu spaceship crossover thingis with a set of the fj TRD wheels. I couldn't find the picture on google though. maybe an fj ran it over and killed it or something :roadkill: LOL

but no man those would probably look good

I still get confused by exit numbers b/c I still remember the OLD exit numbers. I am up by Hobgood park. Now that I see your runner it looks familiar.

Those FJ rims in that Anthracite color are the ones I really want.

Do you by any chance know what our center bore measurement is?
 
Ok well I will say this again. They seem to be 15x7 and will not work if you have 16" rims from the factory. If you put the details of your 4runner in your signature it would help.

My bad I thought I had a sig. Just figured out I entered it in the wrong place. (note: this is not my zombie hunting hi-lux in avatar - need to get pics of my 4R soon)

Apparently when I posted this question the google search I ran on six spoke being a 16" was referencing a different rim. 2003 Nissan Frontier Rims, 2003 Nissan Frontier Wheels at OriginalWheels.com


Thanks for the input guys. I am bagging this idea for now. The guy hasn't gotten back to me to confirm size but according to his CL post and what I just now found out. these things are not what I am looking for.

Going to hold out for the FJ's, fzj80's, or 5 spoke I think.
