Ever since I was little I was waiting to get my Dad's 4Runner and now I've had it for a few months and it's time to get started. But being in school and the fact that money doesn't grow on trees means that mods will come slowly but surely. Stay tuned.

You read my mind! I just said the same thing on your build thread haha

But before you do sell them, I would love to see how the BAMF sliders look on yours and what you think of them b/c I may just go on to those instead. One important thing would be the weight difference between the both of them.

It's been a while and I finally have some pictures to update this thread

Met up with [MENTION=68836]dan0317[/MENTION] and he helped me hook up my Hella 500's and my TOYTEC Boss Suspension kit! A huge thank you to Dan for letting my use his tools and also teaching me a whole lot more about 4Runners through it all

Btw, how much did you adjust your front? I still have to do mine and want to know if doing them all the way has been done yet

Went with [MENTION=68836]dan0317[/MENTION] to my first Toyota Trail Riders meeting and met up with a few other 4Runners, FJs, and a few LCs



You may notice [MENTION=4517]jediwebdude[/MENTION] notorious 4Runner in the background, an honor to see it in person and to be able to meet Phil and his son. (And those little red coils peeking out)


And I really am in love with these SCS wheels, and love that the TRD center caps fit. I've been getting asked how I got these custom TRD wheels :lol:

Thanks man, it's actually not at full height up front but we cranked it up in an attempt to fit 285s but instead went with the 275s. I have a little bit of a reverse rake and I kind of like it actually, that "cali lean" or prerunner look makes it look mean from up front and it rides great so far!

That looks clean man. Love it! I just put on my Toytec 3/2 spacer kit on and am looking to add the same size, 275/70/17, tires on. Are those working well for you? Have you had any issues with the rubbing or getting too close to the Upper A-Arm? Thanks!

Thanks bud! And I don't have any sound clips but I really do like it, it was only like $30 and it's quiet when I'm stopped at a light but has rumble when I'm on the gas. I recommended it to a friend with a 3rd gen and his is much louder than mine, and I'm guessing that's because of the resonator on the 4th gens. But I can try and get a sound clip in the next few weeks. I would definitely recommend it. No need to spend so much more for an aesthetic, doesn't really have huge affect on the performance. The most notable thing is the weight difference from that massive stock muffler.

Yeah I really do like them, I wanted to have gone bigger but the 285s almost tore off my fender. But I have been getting a ton of compliments on the wheel and tire setup, and some say the tire size is perfect. I did have to trim some of the plastic from underneath the front bumper, but it's not difficult at all, just take a serrated knife and takes a few seconds, and I just removed my front mud flaps for extra room. And not a problem with rubbing the UCA at all, but then again the SCS wheels have a -10mm offset on them, so I can't exactly say how the stock wheels will do but I'm sure other people on this forum have probably tried to.
