Frostythe4Runner: Build Thread

It was exciting to actually be in a car show and it turns out a lot of people really liked the 4Runner. A photographer even sent me some pictures and I never even saw them taking the pictures, but I really appreciate it!

I picked up a used BOSS system from a Tacoma, which Toytec says is compatible with the 4Runner. All i have to do is order the rear springs, and while i'm at it, i'll pick up the UCAs.

How do you like the BOSS system so far? It looks great on your 4Runner.

I love it! Both looks and quality and are pretty good and just wondering what type of UCAs are you looking into?

Budget only has room for light racing

Okay well for myself the alignment came out pretty well after the lift so I waited on the UCAs and saved up for some All Pro uniball UCAs cause I've heard a lot about the need to replace the Light Racing UCAs pretty quickly, I personally don't want to have to spend more money in the long run. Just my two cents

Love the build. I was wondering if you have the basic Rola roof rack, or do you have the extension as well?

Thanks man! I actually have the extension as well, which I feel like it looks closer to being Toyota-made with the extra length from the extension cause it's really close to the same length as the stock roof rack that runs from the front to back of the 4Runner. But I also lowered the rack and took out the rails that run from left to right to make it look like the 4Runner came from the factory like that.

Been a long time since I've updated this thread, just been really busy with school. But man do I love this thing.

First I had a little fun in snow this past winter...

glad to see you back. I just picked up the 3" Toytec/Bilstein kit and some 275/70/17 BFG KO2's. My first reaction is that the toytec lift is a little stiff. I was wondering if you removed your sway bars or not?

Wow, sorry for the late response I just saw this. I actually did not remove the sway bars and honestly the ride has been pretty smooth. I would say it is stiff when I'm alone in the car but then again these springs are higher rated so when I have some people in the car or some weight this thing rides great.

A few updates that were long overdue:

Met CruzadoBlanco when we saw each others' 4Rs at our school parking lot.

Dad's coworker got a decal machine and wanted to tested it out, so I designed my own windshield banner. I guess it really is one-of-a-kind now.

It was killing me seeing the engine because of the missing "rubber" well covers. Got the pdf file for them, extremely thankful for this forum!

Loving that the new engine covers I made are much sturdier and how much cleaner it makes it look.

Sadly, I was the only Toyota though.

UCA's are sweet! Funny the first two pics they look kind of gold or bronze(looks pretty cool) lighting i guess. Those engine covers are cool to, definitely going to help keep some of the crap out of there and your engine bay a lot cleaner now:thumb:

Haha yeah I guess the lighting is off, but they really are a slick grey color. I also have to say your rig is coming out great! I love going through your build thread! It makes me wish I was up in the Northeast to go wheeling with you guys!
