did that ever sell?

Not officially yet, but right after cdoyle replied I got a PM from a local member that wants to buy it and pick it up. However, we haven't set a date yet and I haven't requested a deposit or anything.

He did have a question, if the hood would fit a 2006......and I said I was pretty darn sure it would, but that we could measure/compare all he wanted when he picks it up.

So, it is close to sold....but it was close to sold once before when another member's wife pulled the plug on the funding.

Just wanted to drop a quick note to say that the hood and scoop parts are still available. Haven't heard from anybody that was interested in a while.

I actually need some funds for an engagement ring I am trying to buy and would really appreciate it if someone would take it off my hands. Don't make me go through Ebay, I'm too lazy to figure it out and would prefer to sell to somebody here.

As an option B, I would also sell my flat hood to someone if they are interested.....less than the scooped version because it has less parts and is used as opposed to the brand-spanking-new scooped hood & parts.

Yeah, I guess I need to find out. I think I could sell it super fast if I get a number for a few people. I heard through Greyhound is pretty cheap. Maybe one of these days I'll try to fit it in the 4runner and take it by FedEx, UPS, USPS, & Greyhound and get some numbers. The only problem is that I am super busy these days and have little time for such tasks.....you've probably noticed that I haven't been posting very often. At my last job I had tons of time to be on here, but at this job I am super busy.....but like the work much more. OK, I'm done rambling....later.

I think $275 is probably the lowest I could go...and that is a pretty sweet deal for a brand new hood and associated parts. I live in the corner of Fountain Valley that is surrounded by Huntington Beach. If it is more convenient for pickup, I work in Rancho Santa Margarita and could deliver it anywhere nearby that drive. That is assuming it fits in the 4runner. I had it delivered in a Toyota Tundra.

I just bought an engagement ring and a Hawaiin cruise to propose on and Mr. American Express is yelling at me a lot. I just don't have time to figure out the shipping right now for the 10 people that want me to ship the hood. Sorry, to those.....but and LA local definitely has dibbs over someone that requires shipping.

The hood can be yours this weekend if you want. All if it is brand new, still in the boxes & bags with the Toyota part numbers and all. I even have the receipt. If no-one buys it soon I think I'll try to take it back to the dealer in exchange for service or something.

After 5 months of having this posted it is now officially SOLD for $280 and I even had a second buyer that wanted it this weekend as well! Thanks for everyone's input and sorry to all those who I was not able to ship it to.

Opps....actually I got $300 for it....I didn't even fully count the cash he handed me.

4runner owners are great!! I love this forum....so glad I never dealt with Ebay......and as a bonus I got to chat about 4runners for a long time....actually in person! Gotta go.
