FS: 1 Scion HU and a few JBL 6disk HU

My friend's friend has a stereo shop in SoCal that has a bunch of new head units from dealer cars lying around in his shop collecting dust. From what I can tell they're take offs from new cars that have been upgraded with Eclipse Navi's, etc. So to make a long story short I have 2 or 3 4Runner JBL 6 disk head units and a Scion headunit. I have a few others from Camrys, Sequoia, Tundra and a few JBL amps that look like they're out of a Camry, but I'm only throwing out to T4R.com members the ones that are we can use. I'll post pics by this weekend. If I can't unload them here they're going on Ebay.

Scion unit $55 + shipping.
JBL 6 disk units $75 + shipping.

I don't think you can find them any cheaper on Ebay.

what year is the scion headunit from? From what I know, they redesigned the Scion headunit for the '06 models.

I am very interested in the Scion unit. What year is the unit?

Also, I am thinking about getting a creative vision: m player. What adaptor do I need to play it on the scion, anyone? Is there a universal portable music player adaptor for the scion HU?

The Scion unit is from a 2005. It's not the newer one with the center knob.

As long as you have the JBL system already in your car it should be a strait plug and play switch. I'm not sure 100 % though; I hope someone can verify.

That is a big NEGATIVE. I "assumed" the same thing and you know what they say about assuming : Read up on this thread and you'll see what it takes to switch from a single disc JBL to a 6 disc unit: http://toyota-4runner.org/showthread.php?s=&threadid=9821&highlight=swap+jbl

If you're truck did not come with JBL from the factory, you CANNOT just do a plug and play swap. Adding the JBL components to your truck is cost prohibitive and you might as well just add aftermarket components.
