I'm selling because I'm getting into a FJ100 next. This is a tough decision because I've put so much time and emotion into bringing this 4runner back to life. This is a great rig that will surely bring someone lots of enjoyment for many years.
The mileage on the truck is 352,000, however, I consider this to be frame mileage now, considering all of the recent work that has been completed and parts replaced. See history below to better understand:

My philosophy for parts replacement is to buy it quality the first time and know it lasts a lifetime. When working with mechanics I ask them to use premium parts. When I buy parts I use these sources, in this order:

• Toyota dealer
• RockAuto (premium grade only)

History since I’ve owned:
2/15/15 – Purchased out of AZ (AZ truck for prior life)
• 332,000 miles
3/1/15 – fully rebuilt 22re motor – Import Auto of Santa Barbara
• All coolant hoses, thermostat and pipes
• Aisin clutch
• Engine sensors -- green, brown, coolant, BVSV
• Fuel pump and filter
• Motor mounts
• Water pump
• Knock sensor
• Aux Air valve
• O2 sensor
• 100% Starter rebuild
• EGR filter
• Aisin fan clutch & fan
• 100% complete fan shroud
• Belts & Pulleys
• New radiator
• Air intake hoses w/Toyota air filter
• Complete vehicle fluid flush – trans, diffs, coolant, oils
4/1/15 – BFG KO2 Tires
• 4 New BFG tires and 1 used Wrangler AT full size spare
• Alignment (Superior Auto Santa Barbara)
6/1/15 – New windshield (Anacapa Glass in Santa Barbara)
• Replaced Toyota chrome trim and clips
• Painted inside windshield channel prior to glass install
10/1/15 – Interior & Sound
• Rear cargo area 100% dynomat sound deadened
• Rear cargo plush carpet with backer
• Rear custom panels made from Extira (waterproof ply)
• New front seats – adjustable lumbar and side bolster, tilt headrest
• Bluetooth headunit
• Custom rear speaker panels with 6-1/2” dia
• Front dash speakers
• Alpine amp (needs to be installed)
• Rear window safeguard switches all restored to new – rear window works!
• Window cranks and arm rests
• Center console switches
• Front carpet mats
• Interior needs rear headliner replaced
• Rear seats & hardware are complete but not installed. I use back for
travel/sleep, so seats are impractical for my uses.

• Modified Frontrunner Slimline aluminum rack
• Fabricated custom mounts for fiberglass top

• Replaced brake booster
• Replaced master cylinder
• Replaced Clutch master cylinder
• Replaced clutch slave cylinder
1/15/17 – Heater components
• Replaced heater valve
• Replaced hoses from valve
• Replaced knobs on heater controls
• Tuned/lubed moving parts
3/15/18 – Dash restoration
• New (used) Toyota dash – color matching uncracked!
• Disassembled & cleaned entire dash and gauge panel
• Replaced bulbs as needed
• Installed premium clothe dash cover (to protect new dash)
5/1/17 – Higgins Exhaust of Santa Barbara
• New CA compliant catalytic convertor installed
• Tucked tail pipe exit pipe up
5/1/18 – Rear Brakes - 100% rebuild

12/15/18 (352,000 miles)
• Oil pump gasket replaced
• TPS replaced
• Output shaft gasket replaced
The basics: Oil change every 3,000 miles, or now 9 months, since I only drive 100 miles/month. I use premium fuel. I log my mileage and fuel consumption in a book, every fill up -17mpg city/21 freeway.
What the Rogue “wants”:
• He wants a paint job
o The body is in excellent condition, for 30 years old
o Small random dings and nothing substantial
o The clear coat has faded on the upper half
• Miscellaneous panel clips/hardware – Very minor - I can explain.
• Fuel level sensor only accurate for first 1/3 of tank
What the Rogue “needs”:
• The transmission cover at the shifter needs a gasket. I’m waiting for Marlin to re stock their shift kit, which will include the gasket. No real urgency on this since seam is not under pressure.
• Front brakes occasionally squeak. Need pads in near future.
