---SOLD---
Hello all, I hope this finds you in good health.
I am selling my 2002 4runner 4x4 Sport Edition. First off, a bit of backstory. The truck was bought with the intention to build. Suspension, gears, tires, etc. I had been searching for a sport model for quite some time, but once I finally found this beauty, I was right in the middle of my first year of medical school. Unfortunately, my sole income at this point is student loans, and I find myself with even less time than money. My plan is to buy another truck once I finish school, and build it once I have the money and time to do so.
The truck currently has 191251 on the odometer, and has no known mechanical issues. It is an absolute pleasure to drive. It has OEM brakes and rims from a 98 4runner, and 32” BFG A/T KO2 tires. The tires have 85-90% tread, and the full-size matching spare is brand new. The 3.4L and 4.10 gears coupled with the 32s pull beautifully. Also, the brakes are far more responsive than any other Toyota I have driven, as the calipers have a lower volume, and therefore shorter pedal stroke. Also, the suspension is far better than could be hoped for in a truck of this age. I have not taken the truck off-road, and it does not appear as if the previous owner did either.
As with any vehicle of this age, there are some minor cosmetic blemishes, but nothing that is even noticeable in the pictures (look very closely under the right taillight, and on the rear bumper. There are two very small dents). There are no stains, or rips in the interior, but the truck does have what I would consider to be an average amount of rust for a vehicle this age. The rust was knocked off with a wire brush and hit with WD40 for good measure. The truck was not smoked in, and all electronics are fully functional, with the exception of a broken antenna mast (but the motor still works fine. A new mast is $20 on Amazon). No check engine or service lights, and the 4x4 and center diff lock work fine. I am asking $7500.
I WILL BE LEAVING FOR A THREE WEEK TRIP this Thursday, June 2nd. I wanted to go ahead and get this posted before I left, but after the 2nd, I will not be available to meet until the 29th of June. Text me at 67eight-62two-491three, and I will do my best to respond. I will be away from any sort of computer, so email or personal message may be checked via phone when able, but no guarantees. If I do not respond, understand that it is probably because I do not have cell service where I am going, but I will get back to you as soon as possible- hopefully before the 29th. I am in Gainesville GA. Thank you and take care! –Rick.
