FS: **2008 V8 4x4 Sport Edition FOR SALE**

LOCATION: Orange County, California

I'm selling my beloved 2008 Black Toyota 4Runner, Sport Edition, V8, 4x4, ~41k miles, factory warranty till 04/2013 or 60kmiles.

It has never had any mechanical problems, nor does it have any current problems. Never been in any accidents (I do have the carfax if you want it).

Rather than list all of the stuff on this 4th Gen. I have put together a little youtube video you can view here:

Already had one nibble from my day old listing on Autotrader, but the buyer really wanted a V6 so he only offered $25k. I figure the right buyer is out there that wants a V8 4x4

If you look at the 4th Gen pricing right now, he's right in line with what people are asking.

Then I must have gotten ripped off for an 08 Limited with 17k miles loaded for $35,400 CPO.

What dealer did you get yours?

I bought my 08 Limited in January at Olathe Toyota for $30k and had 17k on the clock. It was listed at $32 and they wouldn't budge from $30. It had originally been listed for $36 :wow:

Thanks Klennop, Husker Z, jbmccul, bigwebb83 -- for a second (maybe two) :redbrick: that negative post had me wondering if all my research on fair pricing was flawed. I've been to dealers, and had to deal with the price hikes, so when I resell a car I want to be fair with the price and let a real 4runner enthusiast get a good deal on a 4Runner that is nicer than 90%+ of the ones on dealer lots. Hopefully for someone this will be a great, trouble free truck for many years/miles.

I agree. What someone paid at some point of time past has NO BEARING on resale value of a given vehicle.

The new generation 4Runner is not selling well. I don't know if it's the cost cutting measures that were taken, the new exterior looks, or the pricing, the lack of a V8 or what.

Dealers in So Cal advertise $5,000.00 off sticker before you even start negotiations on the new ones.....

Yeah, my buddy has a 2011 Trail Edition and although I like all the cool knobs/wheels for mud/sand/rocks, it just didn't have the pull and linear power of a V8.
