Selling a '92 Toyota pickup w/ extended cab (2 seats behind driver seat) and a bed cap out of Baltimore, MD. Currently has 220K mi. Second owner, inherited it from a family member (who bought it new). Entire life of the truck it's been maintained according to the Toyota maintenance schedule. Currently have most if not all of the service records for about the last decade if you wanted them.
Truck developed the below mechanical issues that I don't want to put the work into fixing. It still runs, but slowly / choppy and overheats quickly. The "other" issues are the only other non-regular maintenance things I know of that might need attention by another owner. They don't really affect anything and never bothered me enough to deal with, personally.
Mechanical issues: the engine head gasket blew and the tranny no longer shifts into the last gear.
Other issues: A/C doesn't cool (never bothered to fix); exhaust pipe (after muffler) fell off with the clips (still have the pipe, never bothered to reattach); some cosmetic rust on the body panels above the front tires; dent in a back panel (driver's side behind cab). Apparently rusting out beds are a common issue for these trucks. This has zero bed rust. The cap has been on the bed since the day it left the lot.
Pretty much all stock parts. Only major thing that's not stock is the driver's seat (swapped in a newer bucket seat). Only other things I can think of that are not stock are the antenna (replaced), tail light covers, gas cap, and the relay for the tranny solenoid (solenoid is fine, but someone stupidly tossed out the original relay while another one was being swapped in for testing).
Clean title in hand. Would need a trailer or tow, as the truck currently overheats too quickly to move more than about a mile without needing to cool.
The story with this is it's been my daily driver for about a decade now since I inherited it. It started having trouble shifting into the highest gear, and eventually stopped shifting into it altogether. Didn't want to rebuild the tranny, so just kept running it as a daily driver (short commute, speed not a problem). After several months the head gasket blew, and I'm just not interested in putting the work into fixing the gasket or the tranny right now.
Would love to sell to someone with the time and means to get her going again or to someone who could use a good donor truck for parts. I'd part it out, but I don't have the time or the space for it in the city.
