My flare caps came in this morning. These things are great! You did an awesome job. Hopefully I will get them painted and mounted up in the next week.
Is there any particular type of primer and paint that you would recommend? Or any specific method for prepping this type of material?

I did experiment with some texturing, a light coat of truck bed liner, i mean just speckles on top of a flat black paint that bonds to plastic is going to give a finish thats close to the flares. The flares have a texture that is close to a pebbletech finish on a pool but very small.

Great, Thanks! Hopefully things at work will slow down enough for me to get these done this week. If so, I'll post some pics.
 
Put me down for a set at the end of however long a line there is now. $80 + 10. Any chance to get you to send the CAD file (for a fee of course), so those of us who might be able to print these locally can get a set? I'd be willing to sign a document saying that I will not resale these if needed. Notarized even.:beer:

i just got my caps fitted yesterday, they fit and look great. i rough sanded them and hit them with a black restoration liquid and they match pretty well with the stock flares.

Ok i have 4 sets left they are all smooth, if you want just the raw printed i can make that as well.
