Regretfully selling for a pick-up truck. 2000 Toyota 4Runner Limited V6. Automatic Transmission. 4x4. 144K mi. Leather, sunroof, E-locking rear differential, power windows/seats/4wd as well as manual 4wd shifter. Tires are Hancook Dynapro AT-M 265/75/16. Has a Full size, matching spare tire and wheel that has been included in routine tire rotations. Tires have no more that 20K on them. Always balanced and properly inflated. I am the 3rd owner. I bought it at 97K mi. It spent most of its time in Atlanta Georgia before I bought it. Since I’ve owned it, it has been mostly in Florida and Texas, has only seen one New England winter, and even then it was only driven in the snow twice. It has ZERO rust and I’ve worked hard to keep it that way.
This is a reliable to be a daily driver. Runs on 91 or 93 octane only. Combined gas mileage is 17.5mpg. If you use 89 octane or lower, mpg drops significantly.
It is in great condition, has no rust or leaks, and it’s up-to-date on all service. Timing belt/water pump/timing belt tensioner/valve cover gaskets/02 sensors/knock sensors and fluids/filters – oil/air/fuel filters front differential fluid, Transfercase fluid and rear diff fluid, coolant has all been replaced or serviced recently. Battery was replaced this winter. The radiator was replaced at 110K as preventative maintenance. The 4Runner has only ever had Toyota red coolant in it. I do have all maintenance records, including the original window sticker. This car has seriously been well cared for.
This vehicle is set-up well to handle some rough terrain. I’ve had it off-road 3 times or so. But never took it very far, wheeled it as hard as I wanted to, or pushed it as far as it can go. It has seen maybe 50 miles of off-road, never anything very extreme either. Anyway, it has a Sonoran Steel 1.2A suspension lift – Tundra coils over Bilstein 1500’s in the front and Landcruiser rear coils and shocks. It has a 3/16th’s inch thick steel plate gas tank skid plate made by “lil skip’s”. Spyder wheel spacers. Rear Differential breather extension, intake silencer removed, 2000 Toyota Tundra front brakes, Cobra WXSTII CB radio, Alpine Radio with CD and AUX input, Auto Mate Remote starter/Alarm. Low-jack GPS locater.
It has a 2nd generation black supercharger installed since 108K mi. Serviced at 143K. (oil changed, impellers removed/cleaned, bearings checked. It has a URD 2.2 pulley, TRD Dynamic supercharger belt tensioner and URD pulley. URD 7th fuel injector with ECU electronic Performance Calibration Unit. Supercharger is monitored by Innovative digital AFR Gauge, and Auto Meter digital boost gauge. Transmission Valve body has been upgraded by IPT transmissions. Also has a B&M external transmission cooler.
It will need a new driver’s side front CV axel soon, the boot has torn but the axel itself is still good. I have 2 extra CV’s that will go to the new owner – which includes a lifetime supply from NAPA, just keep the original boxes and you’re good to go. The cause of the problem is the front diff needs larger drop-spacers, or the front suspension needs to be lowered one setting. If you don’t mind replacing the Front CV’s once or twice a year then its no problem. Other extras not currently installed include a non-catalytic converter mid-pipe for the exhaust, small front brush guard, all original intake manifold and hardware, Original running boards and hardware.
This 4Runner has not eluded the maladies common to this model; Power antenna does not work, but goes up and down manually. Radio reception is still good. Driver seat has a tear at the bottom left side. Electronic climate control is temperamental when it is cold out, and the engine is still cold. Other issues from general use: stain on trunk carpet, worn out drivers floor mat/steering wheel/center console, stain on driver side rear carpet, scratches and small dent on front bumper, scratches on rear bumper.
If you’re still seriously interested in the 4runner, and only if you have the money to purchase it, please pm/email to set up an appointment to see it in Sudbury, MA.
