I have a transfercase from a 2002 4Runner in great condition, missing the transfercase motor. Since it is such a large item, i'd prefer local pickup or seller handling shipping. Any questions, let me know.

I wanna see if this will work in my tacoma that is why i ask.

It does bolt up to a 3.4l yes, I do believe it bolts up because that's the same transmission on the 4runners also. I'm not sure the differences between the transfer case of a Tacoma and a 4Runner.

so the electric motor you talk about needs to be wired?

No, the electric motors just plug into the factory plug. It does NOT have the motor installed.
