FS 3rd Gen '97 T4R (with e-locker) - $4,999 OBO Detroit, MI
It wouldn't let me edit the title of the thread to reflect the new price change so I started a new one.
Year: 1997 (3rd Gen)
Make: Toyota
Model: 4Runner
Trim: Limited
Drivetrain: Automatic 4WD with factory E-Locker
Color: Silver (Desert Dune)
Mileage: 185xxx
-Fully loaded. P/S, leather seats, power everything, dual power seats, and sunroof with tilt.
-Clean title
-Never been in any accident or offroad. All matching VINs.
-Truck has been clayed, polished and waxed twice a year and washed almost weekly (weather permitted) since I got it fiver years ago.
-High mileage, but mostly highway (I live 25 miles from work). When I got the truck it had 135,000 miles.
-Does not burn any oil.
Under my possession, I have done the following:
-Engine oil changed every 4k miles.
-New alternator 2 years ago
-Tires rotated every 5k miles.
-Rear differential fluid changed one year ago.
-Spark plugs changed two years ago.
-Removed OEM running boards (Will come with the truck if you need them)
Mods Include:
*Walker Exhaust Muffler -Quiet-FlowSS (can't even hear it) (2 years old)
*Cat Clamp installed Welcome to CatClamp Catalytic Converter Lock Website
*OME 2.5” Shocks Installed 2.5 years ago
*265/75R16 Michelin LTX M/S2 tires (about 2 years old) these are 1” taller than stock tires. These are like the quietest tires you can buy.
*Tinted Windows
*Upgraded Stereo System:
Alpine cde-9843
Hifonics zx 6400 amp
1 IDQ12 D2
CDT Audio CL-61A 6-1/2" Component System speakers
Q logic .85cf sub box
Every part of the floor, hood, wheel wells, underneath the truck, and every door and side panel was covered with sound deadning material from Second Skin (Spectrum Sludge, Damplifier Pro, Luxury Liner Pro).
This truck is VERY quiet, I think Consumer Report gave it a 4/10 on the quiet scale for the 1997runner. After the above materials were installed I would rate it at 8.5/10 oh how quiet it is.
Retrofit HID Lights:
*Projectors from Nissan Murano and OEM Philip + bulbs with 55watt ballasts.
*CompuStar 2 way Remote Start/Alarm professionally installed.
I will also include the following:
*1997 4Runner repair manual
*B&M SuperCooler Transmission Cooler
Truck has never been used for towing, the above trans cooler can be used to prevent the "pink milkshake".
The truck does has some flaws.
-Engine Misfire on Cylinder #4
-Minor scrapes on the fender flares.
-Very minor ding on the rear door.
-Hood has some paint chipped.
-Overall, I would give the paint a 8/10 score because of the dings, scrapes, etc. Even though I washed it regularly there is just so much that can be done without it being professionally fixed.
I can honestly say that the above are the only flaws that I have found with the truck.
I am selling it because I am not mechanically gifted so every little thing that I take the truck in for adds up quickly and I just got a brand new car and I rarely drive the 4Runner so there's no reason for me to keep it.
Asking $4,999 OBO. Negotiable.
