FS: 3rd Gen Hella Fog Lights $95 Kansas City

I have a set of Hella fog lights removed from a 2000 SR5. These were a dealer add-on, and are only compatible with '99-'02 years. They fit in the same location where the factory equipped fogs would be.

Compared to the factory fogs, these produce a stronger light output. (Light output pics and explanation below courtesy of sogoood on here).


These were removed from a midwest truck, so there is rust on the brackets and the black coating is peeling away. The rust is surface level only, so it can be easily sanded and resprayed. The lenses on both are free from any cracks. The hardware is included (not pictured). I would recommend replacing them as they are a bit rusted.

Light output pics and explanation from sogoood:

Pictures taken with one Hella DE. Distance from shop is about 1 1/2 car length. The width of the beam couldn't be captured from that distance so it is seen diagonally.

Hellas ribbed/fluted design gives a wider beam pattern like the Rigid Ind DOT fogs, Koitos aren't fluted. Internally there is a cutoff shield. The light intensity depends on what bulbs you have. The bulbs included are PIAA 55w High Intensity. The body is designed for 55w bulbs and can also withstand heat from hid bulbs if you want to retrofit.

Can you still swivel the foglights up and down and loosen up the screws fastening the foglights to the brackets?

Sprayed a little Fluid Flim on the threads, and with a 7MM socket, I was able to easily turn the screw. The other way to adjust them is to use the Philips head screw on the front, but my JIS driver still slipped on them. And now that I think about it, when they are mounted on the truck, the only way to adjust them is from the back using a 7MM socket wrench.

I cleaned them up and took a few more pics. I opened up the rubber boots to show the insides as well. The fogs themselves are virtually rust-free. Just the brackets that have accumulated a bit of rust.

Sounds good if they still tilt via the main adjuster (the long screw/bolt you put the 7mm onto). I’ll PM you when I get home from work in about 3 hours.

Correct, they still have full tilt rotation. One thing I'd like to point out: On one fog, I noticed when loosening the screw to tilt the housing down, I had to assist the housing a little for it to move. It's not seized, but it will need a little grease on the most inner moving points where the two side bolts mount, which can be achieved when the housing is freed from the bracket assembly. The other fog rotates up/down fine.
