So, I'm in the process of selling my third gen, and I'm sure these would be better with someone on here that would appreciate this more.

'01 headlights with a retrofit source kit. Morimoto mini H1 projectors, 5000k bulbs, 35 watt morimoto ballasts, full wiring kit. Double layer smoked tint applied for "eyelid" look. Can be removed.

These always seemed to be aimed pretty low. My first time retrofitting. This is a full plug and play kit, but may be a little bit better for parts.

Leaves me in full working condition. No refunds.

Alright. Some night shots. As you can see, the beam is pretty level, it's just aimed about a foot/ foot and a half too short. Would be great with someone that has a lift so they are already aimed a little low to not blind other drivers.



Cutoff, on a slightly slanted driveway.


There is a little light bleed from the projectors, but I liked that it filled the bowl a little more. Also a good shot to see the eyelids at night.

you likely can, unless his adjustment bolts are on the edge of the thread already (which i doubt they are)

when you take the headlight housing (black part) off the headlight to retrofit the headlights, if you aren't careful when putting it back on you might have the adjustments nuts barely engaged which will leave you with poorly aligned headlights..

he actually overtightened it, probably didnt know how the aiming system works. you have to unscrew both adjusters to get the headlight apart. when it was put back it was cranked all the way down, making the aim low.

Like I said, first retrofit.

Also, they do need to be messed with. I'm sure they can go higher. They are aimed right now for an even cutoff line.

At least this way I never got flashed from oncoming traffic

Id like to say thank you for the lights and how greatly packaged they were! They could be dropped from a 2 story building and still be in tacked!

Cant wait to install these!!

Enjoy those! You can always take off the vinyl eye lids. I just wanted to set my 4Runner apart from the crowd in a different way.
