FS: 4 New Michelin Tires 265/65 R17

I replaced my Michelin Cross Terrains with the BFG AT's on my 2005 Limited at about 500 miles. I have no need for the old tires and would be interested in selling them. I beleive this is actually a very good tire for mostly highway use(better than the dunlops or bridgestones) and tirerack.com currently has them for $171 per tire. I am located in Utah and would prefer not to ship the tires, but I will if needed. Make me an offer if interested...

Just thought I would pass along a word on shipping. I have purchased from tirerack.com and all they do is use two sets of plastic straps around two tires and wrap a shipping label in plastic and ship them out. They ship UPS. So, I guess all that is required is two get some straps or good filament tape and a shipping label and the way you go. No cartons required, apparently!

I'd do $100 a tire, you pay for the shipping. I would think the shipping would be around a $100 or so...

OK-$100/tire plus shipping, probably about $20/bucks a tire. WE have to work out payment. Do you have a paypal account? Also, how about an email?

Great, explain to the guys if these tires can just be strapped together with a label on them like tirerack does. Those guys at the UPS store want you to buy boxes, that's how they makee their money. I mean they are tires...how can you hurt them?

No problem. I have also bought tires from tirerack. Off subject, but I want to give a local kid props on the forum as well. Ted Ligety from Park City,UT won a Gold Medal yesterday in the Alpine Combined. Not bad for a 21 year old at his first Olympics!

Just got a quote from the ups store. They want $69.50 per two tire bundle to ship to 91709 plus five bucks or so to bind the tire together. I'll take care of the packaging. Let me know if that works.

I am sure the figures you provided are accurate as they were given to you. It seem freight/pkg. is a real deal-killer these days. So we are talking about $138.00/tire. I can get Yokohamas at $146.00 locally with a 500 tread wear rating.

How did you get BFG AT's on? Do you have a lift? I didn't think BFG made an AT that would fit a 17" rim that would fit on stock suspension.

Lots of threads on this. The BFG AT 265/70/17 is larger than the stock tire but will fit on a stock suspension with no rubbing. I did have some wider aftermarket wheels (17X9) that did cause rubbing, but when I went back to the stock wheels there was no rubbing. A 17X8 wheel with the correct offset would not cause rubbing either. Good Luck.
