I ordered a 1" kit from here for my 4th gen. In PM's I verified with the seller that I would get the 8 lift blocks, a steering spacer, and all hardware. No radiator drop bracket "required" for a 1" although it is damn close for me. No steering spacer came with the kit when delivered. After some convincing he reluctantly agreed to send me the steering spacer that he had previously told me was included. I got the spacer with blown out holes in the sides, which probably won't affect the function but is just poor workmanship. Also no hardware was provided for the steering spacer. This time I didn't ask the seller why, I know why, he already made his money off me and was done.

I went ahead and decided to install it anyway and encountered a few problems on the install. All 8 bolts provided were the same length however the front mount bolts were too long to work, the nuts would bottom out on the threads well before clamping down on the body mounts. This was not due to worn body mounts either since I replaced them at the same time. Also the front mount bolts were too large in diameter to fit through the steel section on the front upper mount (both new and old mounts). You will need to drill out the mount steel section to 1/2" diameter to fit the bolt, then find out it's too long anyway. Don't worry, the stock rear most mount bolts fit the front mount with 1" body lift perfectly and no need to drill out your mounts.

The next issue I encountered is that the front and rear mount bolts had washers with tangs to catch into the body on the top side, they were pressed onto a 1/2" diameter knurled area just under the bolt head. You can tap those off the front bolts and reuse them on the rear mount bolts, and just reuse the rear bolts with the washers for the front mounts as described above. The center two body mounts on each side however, the stock bolts are just large flanged heads and of course par for the course with this kit - no washers are provided. So once you have your bumper off and everything torn apart with half your body floating in the air, head over to the hardware store to spend more to finish the kit.

The instructions provided were for a 3rd gen and really not all that applicable other than, unbolt the body and put these in. The only reasons I bought this kit were to save a couple bucks over Roger Brown (avoiding that atrocious ordering scheme) and support a fellow T4R member. I gave him the same feedback and received a "wonderful to know. thank you."

If I were to do it again, Roger Brown all the way. Save yourself some headaches and do it right. No I don't have 4,xxx posts but just my honest review to help other members out. Thanks for the wonderful customer service! :flipoff:

I'm sorry for the bad service you received. I took your feed back and went to the store to purchase hardware and washers you mentioned.

The way these lifts are created are from others installing them and relaying information to me.
I have taken your feedback to me and very much appreciate it, I have already made changes. Instructions I believe were sent to your email.

They should have been for your 4th gen.

I will double check the email I sent.
