I am very sad to be posting this but up for sale is My beautiful One-of-A-kind 1985 4runner. This IS the cleanest 1st Gen around I guarantee it. This rig has been built right with no corners cut and all very quality parts. It is a real head turner, always getting compliments when riding around in this rig. It won 1st place in Toytecs Toyota Truck Show! That being said this is a very capable rig being able to handle almost any trail here in Colorado and Utah! The road manors are nothing short of amazing it can tackle i70 at 70-80 mph no problem its has no drivability issues whatsoever. Everything on this rig works! I have driven to Moab from Denver without a single issue. If I could keep this rig forever I would but right now I cant afford to keep it.
Here is most of whats done to the rig.
- completely tore down
- rear tube quarters fabricated into the body
- front cab corners removed and flat plated to prevent "tire rubbing/chunking"
- all seam sealed professionally
- custom BMW silver paint- base coat/clear coat (PPG)
- 2 tone paint (black roof)
- 100% custom factory SR5 decals with Toyota logo incorporated into them.
- NEW Soft-topper with tinted windows
- WHOLE interior is rattle trap sound deadening (fat-mat) double layers under front cab section.
- brand new carpet on all passenger areas with jute padding and new backing.
- power windows installed with mint SR5 door panels
- Full Addicted off-road interior roll cage
- new windshield
- all seats in mint condition
- Tacoma complete steering column with tilt (working cruse control)
- 80k MILES 2000 Tacoma 3.4 with the A340F automatic transmission adapted to duel transfer-case with 23 spline input shaft -trail-gear adapter-
- duel case low profile skid crossmember
- COMPLETE UNCUT Tacoma harness was used in the swap!! Bumper TO bumper. This is the cleanest Swap you will ever see. Used Everything out of the Tacoma under the hood. Charcoal canister, cruise control, battery trey, ECT. It's a must see
- Tacoma gauge cluster and heater controls were used (clean install) with LED bulbs
- Addicted off-road complete High pressure powersteering pump kit with reservoir, pump, cooler, hydraulic ram on steering, rebuilt steering box tapped for ram assist.
- new fuel pump in tank with ford bracket and filter mounted on frame.
- 2000 tacoma floor shift assembly with console (clean install)
- firewall insulated with heat 2000 degree shield
- custom exhaust with flow-master muffler
- factory low mileage Tacoma catalytic converter with new oxygen sensors
- rear Tacoma Axle housing with E-locker -5.29 gears
- front 85 housing with Chromo inner and outer shafts, E-locker with 5.29 gears, IFS hubs, new bearings and seals, V6 brake calipers, Fj-80 rotors, All-pro high steer, arp knuckle studs
-Extended Diff Breathers
- new Raceline wheels 17x9 with new 37" Cooper STT tires all less than 2000 miles
- rear all-pro 3.5 lift leaf springs
- front all-pro/toyota rear Hybrid leaf spring pack (Rides and flexes amazing)
- custom Bump-stops
- Addicted off-road rock sliders
- Addicted off-road front and rear bumpers (reinforced front frame for winch)
- new never used XRC-8 winch (all wired in)
- LED front turn signals
- new v6 3.0 radiator with 3.0 mechanical cooling fan
- new dealer 3.0 fan shroud
- new timing belt, water pump, all pulleys, and belts
- Mobil one oil
- new interstate battery
- E-lockers all wired in with Low-range switches on separate fuse box
- Tacoma factory air box
- automatic transmission aux cooler
- Tacoma brake booster/master cylinder
- 88 4runner automatic trans pedal assembly
- all-pro front long spline drive shaft with 85 double CV recent rebuild and balance
- rear shaft is a front 85 double cv shaft rebuilt and balanced
- Pioneer Head Unit (ipod/iphone compatible)
- Rockford Fosgate 6.5" component speakers
- Cobra 18 CB radio (in dash clean install under stereo)
There Is probably some stuff missing but thats the most of it. Before i had to sell it i had turned down offers for 20k + to buy this. asking $18500 OBO there is well over 30K invested in this rig. if you have any questions please contact me Steve
