FS: Custom 3D Printed Retro Toyota Badges - SW WI

Matt I am ready to go now. Payment is through paypal and you can PM with your info that is required in the first post of the thread and I will give ya my paypal email. I do not have one designed for the rear hatch yet, but it is on the docket.

As for paint my favorite rattle can brand is dupli color, but most any paint will do. I spray the letters the color I want them then tape them off and spray the outer color over the top then and peal the tape after it dries. This technique works well for me. I didnt clear mine.

Money sent, I will attach a picture when it's painted and on. This is my plan for now, the "TEQ" is going to be a shade of navy like my factory paint color (Stellar blue pearl) and the rising sun will be red and white like original colors.

Because of classes, work, and other time commitments, I will have to temporarily stop printing badges. Current orders will be fulfilled, but I will not be taking accepting any more at this time. I look forward to taking more orders after Christmas during my winter break, and also during my summer vacation. Thank you for your understanding.

It's been a while you've had my badges and I haven't received anything, no badges and maybe one message over the course of over a month.

Quite misleading as you've said before that any badge sent in would be sent back accompanied by the new version... others have received theirs yet even though I sent the original 02 badge?? Surely you used mine for the measurements? How is it that they have received their badges and not me, when you took the measurements from mine?

I've been driving around this whole time without a badge on the front of my truck for nothing? Did I mail you two badges for nothing also? Is turbo EFI happening?

Get back at me ASAP dude or we will be having an issue here.

Kryptox and COB, I am not hanging you guys out to dry I have been caught up with a lot of stuff lately, school mainly, but have no intention of screwing you. I finished the 1st gen B pillar last week and just need to print some off. As for the rear hatch it is done as well, but I have been fighting warpage issues since I wanted to keep the badge thin for a clean look. I can send out your badges tomorrow COB and I am sorry that it had to come to this...

I am not too worried about the thickness of the badge personally. You might just be trying to make it too thin. I would figure a badge like that would be about 1cm at its thinnest point to about 2cm to 2.5cm at its thickest. I am not sure how a 3d printer works completely but could you slow down the tool cutting speed to decrease the amount of heat put into the piece? I know that helps with welding.

In other news I was able to score a copy of solidworks myself to try and teach an old dog new tricks. Got a few designs for parts figured out and currently trying to find a small time fabricator to work with on prototypes. Solidworks though is quite a program to learn and well worth the experience.

I very much appreciate all of the support you guys have given me and like you said I should have been more vigilant of keeping the lines of communication open. My main focus always had to be school, and I should have done a lot more research before just jumping into this project.

As for the rear hatch badge I am doing exactly that right now except I need to keep as much heat in the piece as possible so that it cools evenly and doesn't warp from too much cooling on one side. I am confident that I will get a useable part from this run.

As for solidworks if you ever need any help with anything I am pretty good at using it now after my coop and internship. Just shoot me a PM
