FS Eclipse AVN6620 Navigation GPS 7" touchscreen $350

The steering wheel controls work instantly with no lag at all. The aux input can be controlled through either the steering wheel or the touch screen. It comes up as a source unit. So you have the option of am/fm/dvd/mp3/aux.

I have no idea if that adapter will work with your unit. On that picture of the adapter you provided, is the left clear plug the side that plugs into the head unit and the gray plug into your jbl harness? That clear plug on the left side looks like it might be the main harness cable. Im not positive since I have never seen one before.

Does anyone else know if this adapter will fit? I would think it should, but I am not positive.

How about the camera?

Will this work?

Amazon.com: 07-09 TOYOTA DIGITAL AMP TURN ON INTERFACE: Automotive

I ordered a Kenwood but if this adapter will work on the Eclipse I will send it back with the iPod cable as I would prefer to use the AUX jack in my center console still.

Do the steering wheel controls lag, or do they work just as well as stock? Is there an option on the unit to switch to AUX to use the input in the center console? I really like the location of the stock AUX input, and would ditch the Kenwood on that alone as long as I can retain the JBL with the adapter.

The Eclipse cameras are discontinued, will the Kenwood backup camera work? (I have one on the way anyways)

If the camera/JBL adapter work, I can pick one up off you this week.

That clear plug on the left side looks like it might be the main harness cable. It has the yellow, red and black wires which are the 3 main power source and the other wires are probably the speaker wires. I'm pretty sure thats the cable that plugs into the back of the eclipse unit but Im not positive since I have never seen one before.

The unit has an input for an eclipse brand camera. It is direct plug and play. If you have another brand camera you would like to use, you will need an adapter that converts the rca output into the propriety eclipse input.

You will need the preamp out wires that normally came with this unit. They are 4 female RCA plugs that plug right into the adapter. I am going to try to buy mine Monday from Eclipse. You will also need aftermarket (Metra # 71-1761) plugs to adapt power and illumination.

Is eclipse the only brand that can't use an adapter? I know the TATO PAC works with Kenwood and Pioneer.

No no read my previous post, the adapter is the Tato Pac and it will work just fine.

Sorry I got cofused. Good news.

Basically all I'd need to pick up is the adapter for the camera then. Is there a specific brand or model number I can look up?

Sorry, if you aren't going to use Eclipse I don't know what to suggest. Maybe call Crutchfield and ask them or Al & Eds.

Avn6620 received

Want to give some positive for mark ,4runner19. I received unit as promised, packaged really well and in as new condition. Pleasure doing business with you.
Thanks Mark!

I also wanted to give Mark a positive review, recieved my unit and was able to install it in less than 30 minutes into my 3rd gen. So far so good!

i'm still confused on what harness I would need for my JBL 10.1 synthesis sytem.

I find the harnesses for 5.1 and 7.1 systems...but not my 10.1 system. Installing aftermarket in to a 10.1 won't work??

Hey guys, I have this exact unit for over a year now and it's excellent. However, keep in mind that Eclipse has decided to leave the aftermarket auto electonics business, so it is unlikely that they will continue to support us in the future. I don't know if updated navi discs will be available for these units in the future. I do know that all 6620 units come with the same navi disc, regardless of when the unit was purchased/sold, so guys who are just buying one now are already using a disc that is more than a year old.

Does anyone know for sure if they'll keep making updated navi discs?

Just installed a unit in a 2009 SE 4x4 V8. It has an aux plug in the center console and steering wheel controls. I was surprised to find that the stock harness that has the aux control and steering wheel control plugged right into the eclipse avn unit. I plugged in the stock harness and had full access over the steering contols and the aux plug worked. Here is a picture of the 3 stock toyota harnesses that plugged directly into the back of the eclipse unit.

What is the lone red cable on the right of the picture?

I believe that line may be for the parking brake, but I may be wrong.

Here's some pictures of mine installed:
