How is this box mounted, and in its position does it cause a lot of rattling/ sound distortion? Interested!

The box was specifically made for the 4runner. I didn't need to mount it to anything. With the weight of the box and sub it didn't move at all. The sound is amazing. Super clear and not boomy at all. Rattling is minimal, but you will have rattling with any sub in any vehicle unless you really dynamat it good. Here are some pictures of it in the 4Runner.
