This is my second partout and I am excited to get started on it. Later this afternoon (Thursday, February 11th) I am picking up this 4Runner and bringing it back to my storage unit to be parted out. This vehicle has 296,000 miles and runs - it is a complete vehicle.

I will have more photos after I pick it up. If you call or text me after 4:00pm this afternoon (Thursday, February 11th) I can take specific photos and reply back with whatever you need. It may take me a day or two to get more photos posted here.

If you want to buy or reserve a specific part and don't want to wait for the photos you can call or text me about it. If we agree on price you can PayPal me and the part is yours. If you don't want the part after you see the photos I will refund your PayPal payment. I've been on this forum long enough that you don't have to worry about that. For larger items that are being picked up I can hold these parts in my storage unit for as long as necessary until you can schedule a time to come to College Station and get them.

I will add more more pricing later, but I will be selling these parts at prices similar to or less than what I find at salvage yards. I ship USPS and prices include a tracking number. For the larger items you will need to come to Bryan-College Station. I can ship the smaller items. I prefer phone calls and texts because once I've shipped your item I will text you a photo of the USPS receipt showing the tracking number and estimated delivery time. As always on my listings no PMs, posts, holds, or dibs to get the item. The first person to call or text me at 979-574-2070 and send a PayPal payment gets the part. Please send to a friend or add 3% so that I still receive the total. If I list just one price that is without shipping.

I got back to College Station late in the evening

After midnight I tried to clean up the 1996 a little in my storage unit to examine the condition of the exterior sheet metal and paint. Unfortunately you will see a lot of smudges and water streaks in these photos because I ran out of dry towels (and energy). I'll get some better photos out in the sun this weekend.

The hood looks great except for one smile-shaped scratch

The hood insulator is missing from this hood...

but fortuately I have a near pristine insulator from my flat 2001 hood that will go with the sale of the 1996 hood.

The passenger side filler plate looks good. What you are seeing in the photo are some reflections from the rust specs on the chrome bumper below.

I am afraid I may get the run-around at the dealer cause I can't find a part number for it.

on the driver side of the rear axle, there is a special bolt that connects the pivot of the parking cable to the rear diff housing. I think the bolt is the only thing i need, but if there is other special washer/bushing, I would need that also.

The OEM grille looks about as good as a 20 year old part off the front of your 4Runner can look. As you can see it is a solid 1996-1998 chrome grille with a gold oval Toyota emblem. I can sell this for $69 plus $20 shipping for a total of $89.

The OEM tail lights are in good condition as you can see. Both have some very light scratches that are not very noticeable. The driver side tail light has one stone impact mark on the clear part of the lens. This is just a mark - there is no broken plastic or hole. Neither tail light holds water or anything like that. As you can see the tabs on the back are intact - these are complete tail lights. These are $49 each plus $10 shipping for a total of $59 each.

The front row headrests are in good condition. They will probably clean up even better than this with some leather or upholstery cleaner. These are $19 each plus $10 shipping for a total of $29 each.

The brake light lens from the top of the hatch is in good condition. This is $9 plus $6 shipping for a total of $15.

This is a nice set of 1996 owners literature. This complete set is $12 plus $4 shipping for a total of $16.

As you can see the side rear view mirrors are in good condition. These are $45 each plus $14 shipping for a total of $59 each.
