The 4Runner is way wors just because of gas cap it will show check engine and 2 more yellow lights and will stay like this for day or two.
slowginjoe said:all modern cars will do this. the fuel system needs to create a vacuum, which cannot happen if your gas cap is even slightly lose. it usually takes 3 trips of considerable distance for the ecu to decide that the leak is gone and the light to go off.
