I'm having fuel Economy problems 6 mpg and I don't idle have any fixes

Lets start with the basics, have you checked to see if any CEL codes have been generated? If so they may point you to the problem.
When's the last time you did a tune-up, like plugs, wires, cap, rotor, etc ?

I got tune up 3 months ago I have a bad knock sensor can that be a cause of bad mpg

Is your idle high at normal operating temperature?
Do you live in the mountains?
Is most of your miles highway or city?
Did they use OEM Toyota parts when they did the tune up?
Do you have a V6 or 4 cylinder?
Do you have an automatic or 5 speed tranny?
How are you calculating your MPG?

I am experiencing 9mpg, calculated by mileage driven/gallons inputted. My idle is fine, and I have no CEL going on. I do however, have an exhaust leak (original muffler is rusted through), and should probably change the 02 sensor with a new Denso one.

is it lifted? tire size? my 92 3.0 430 gears 5 speed is getting 18 kicking around and 21 on the highway 65 to 70 mph. big tires and lifts kill mpg.
