Fuel pump/filter replacement

So either my fuel pump or filter is in need of replacement on my 95 3vze equipped runner. Whoever changed the filter previously didn't use a flare nut wrench and those fittings are almost completely rounded off. Additionally, it's rusted to hell (gotta love that Utah road salt).

Also, has anyone cut an access panel to reach the fuel pump? Any tips or tricks for either of these jobs is greatly appreciated.

A good pair of small channel lock pliers should be able to get the fitting off. I have the same problem with mine. I had to pull part of the hard line in front of my filter with my filter when i changed mine so i could get if off

If that fails you can cut those lines and install new section easily.

Everything is so rusted out under there, I'm not sure that even strong vise grips would work. I think I may have to just run some new line on that section
