Fuel Pump Question

Well, I figured out why I wasn't getting fuel to the cylinders... I have no fuel pump!! (Bought a wrecked 88 4Runner to rob the drivetrain from and transplant into a Samurai)

Instead of buying a "stock" fuel pump to try and get this thing running before yanking it all from the 4Runner, I'd rather buy a generic electric fuel pump so I can use it with my Samurai tank.

So my question is this - what fuel pressure do these things normally run? One book I have says anywhere from 33 to 38. Another one says something else (don't remember off the top of my head) If I just get one that is rated for 50psi would that suffice, or will too much fuel pressure be bad? (I've never worked with EFI systems before...)

Thanks,
