Fuel Smell/ oil smell

Hey all,
4th Generation 4runner 05.
I notice fuel smell or maybe oil smell...in the rear driver side...after starting up the vehicle. Smell is pronounce outside vs inside..
Check the fuel neck area... IS there suppose to be a metal flapper inside the gas filler area? I know with my other vehicle...after removing the gas cap, there is a metal flapper that covers the hole. You put the fuel nozzle into...and flapper gets pushed in.

Is my 4runner suppose to have a metal flapper inside the neck?

Can someone confirm whether you have this metal nickel-size flap in the inlet of the fuel filler line?
2005 4runner.

I'm losing my mind here. hhahahahah

No flap on my 2006. Have you accidentally over filled your tank?

The previous owner may have. Just picked up this truck 3 weeks ago. I see some fuel stain on the rubber boot/cover that surround the inlet line.
No codes...Pass smog without any issues
