Fuel tank skid plate

2001 4wd is rusted to crap...seen one at a salvage yard off a 2wd model...anyone know if they are the same? 4wd vs 2wd? Otherwise, will just take it off and run without the plate...I don't do anything too crazy offroad anyways.

I can't see why they would be different, 2/4 wd components passing underneath. I'd take my rusty one off and compare at the junkyard, aim to replace it, you never know when you'll need to protect the tank or under what situation. Luck. :cowboy:

Head over to eBay, grab a VIN from a 2wd runner and then go find the part based on that VIN . Compare to your VIN part?

They are the same.

I just put an aftermarket gas tank skid on my (previously) 2WD 4Runner.
