Full Length Low Profile Racks - recommendations?

Hello.

I am interested in getting a low profile full length roof rack for my 2020 T4R. I like both the Gobi and Prinsu models and I will have them installed professionally. I could install myself if drilling holes would not be required.

I want to also be able to attach a cargo box to either one of them.

What is your recommendation?

With the Sherpa, the forward end rests on adjustable rubber feet. If you leave the rear mounts a little loose, and the middle mounts a quarter inch loose, you can pull up the front windscreen, set a folded towel under it, and then set the front feet just a little long. Then when you tighten the other mounts it puts extra pressure onto the front feet. Just don't overdo it, which can put a bend into the side frame.

Another vote for Sherpa. Very solid, low profile, and looks great (although they all kinda look the same anymore). I installed it by myself in about 1-2 hours, taking my time not to scratch anything.

You cut the weather strip and use #M VHB tape for the legs. There is no noise all the way up to 80-85 mph. If I had to choose again I would pick Prinsu, UpTop, and Sherpa in that order.

Me...Southern Style Offroad full length no drill, 40” lightbar cut out, wider 80/20 cross bars, camp light cut-outs, excellent powder coat and customer service.

SSO is a good one... took some time to get mine. Company is in Louisiana so a few tropical storms set my delivery back. Yet they always answered my emails.

I picked SSO after watching Wonderlost Overland on YouTube... their video of the installation helped too. I enjoy the flexibility of the 80/20 like Gumby said. This brand is the only one I’ve seen with the wider cross-members. also liked the cut-outs for camp/scene lights. I’ve installed Sylvania LEDs with Lamin-x yellow film in those cut outs. Perfect for my needs. Up top I have two Plano rifle cases (based upon another Wonderlost video) and obligatory shovel / farm jack.

Oh... might check out Victory too. They have a similar rack.

Eh, some people like vanilla and some like chocolate. To me the profile of the Sherpa is more attractive.

Dollars are a likely factor for some. You can find a prinsu at times for under $800.. sherpa is $1100. I think the prinsu doesn't look good on 4runners / the top rails look curved. I know it's likely an optical allusion but it really bugs me
