Lots of roof rack threads recently. I can only speak for myself, but I am extremely pleased with my Prinsu non drill. I followed the advice from countless threads on here about install and used the silicon washers from McMaster Carr and silicone washers up top for the fender washers and haven't had any issues with water intrusion. It POURED the other day here in GA and there were zero signs of moisture in the cabin. Hard to beat for the money and when I got it during the spring sale it was right around $900 shipped to me.
With the wind fairing not bad at all.
My stance on roof racks is that if you want one for what they are used for, wind noise is pretty low on the priority list because everything you put up there creates more noise than the rack itself.

I'm happy with my UpTop Bravo rack. It was $800 all said and done.
Do some searching, people really like the mounting system on the Sherpa and Prinsu seems to have fallen out of favor with many people.
I went with Westcott Designs. It arrived this weekend and will go on soon.

Sherpa mounting design is WAYYYYYYY better than Prinsu. But it's around $1200 shipped.

Victory 4x4's rack is right at $1,000 (might get a discount if you mention you're a T4R member).
Been pretty happy with it overall. Wish the side holes were large enough to stick an arm through as it would make mounting things like RTT's so much easier.
I had them redo the front mounts instead of being on top of the roof to go inside the rain gutter like Prinsu, Sherpa, and SSO etc.
RCI and Cali Raised also have full length roof racks available.

I am very happy with my UpTop Bravo rack. Wind noise is minimal, lots of accessories (roto/shovel/maxtrax) mounting options, easy to configure for your needs. The customer service is amazing, they respond within 24 hours to every email i've sent, and have gone out of their way to help with the questions i've had regarding additions. They even phoned me to clarify a question. That's the type of customer service that keeps my business.
That being said.. If I didn't go UpTop i'd have probably gone Prinsu. Although when I purchased the rack I didn't want to wait 8 months as I had a few trips planned.

But is shouldn't sound like a hammer drill or hum so loud it gives you a headache.
I am really concerned about sound. I had crossbars and it was like a hammer drill once I got close to 60 and hummed so loud it would give you a headache. I had to take them off for a trip from AL to TN. The radio wouldn't go loud enough. Prinsu has a bunch of good reviews on facebook with no noise at or above 60 mph. The Sherpa looks great but it looks exactly like the Prinsu for a few hundred more for some reason.

i went from a prinsu 7/8 to a full rack, and while i am not a fan of the company that owns prinsu, the rack is legit.
It does hum at freeway speed, but it is mainly due to the giant light bar i have on the roof rack, and after a while, you get use to the hum.
Also, while there aren't alot of accessories made for the prinsu, its easy to adapt pretty much any accessory you want by using 1/4 carriage bolts that you can buy at home depot.
I'm not sure why people have a problem with the bent aluminum siderails that make up the feet of the prinsu. It does what it does..hold alot of weight, and I haven't heard of them failing. The only people who have a issue with the prinsu rack are retailers trying to sell you another rack.
