I like to consider myself an Audiophile... so I was not happy with the stock sound from the car. Maybe when it was new it sounded better but I think it is pitiful as it sounds now.

I replaced the Head Unit with the Pioneer DEH-80PRS and left all the speakers to see how much better it would sound not using an ancient cassette adapter... Sounded equally shit and I wasted ~$50 on the Metra Interface Adapter.

sup dude. I'm ready for stage 2 sound kit. maybe stage 3 also.

none of my speakers are on any more... I think I have a loose wire somewhere.

do you have any suggestions? I installed a RF sub and dedicated amp. sub is in place of the factory dvd nav unit. Can we do anything with the factory amp spot?

I ran new wire through the grommet in the sub box and felt like a boss!
Eventually I hit a bump and now my sub wont play, but the amp powers on. I have the most ghetto ground ever right now.

I was planning on just going for the RF kit with a matching amp to power everything but the sub. maybe a capacitor, definitely dual battery later.

any reason to swap from this kenwood excelon? I'm not a fan, but it functions.
