Fumoto easy oil drain plug

One of the first mods I did when I bought the 4runner. Has worked perfectly and never have to worry about replacing the bolt and washer or stripping the thread. Only con is that it takes a while for the oil to completely drain. The Fumoto is the one to buy, I haven't heard or read about other brands.

I have used one of these on all our vehicles for a while, no issues.
I have the long neck version on our 4Runner only because it's my wife's and ever sees a gravel logging road at worst, usually just mall speed bumps.

makes it easy to sample your oil for blackstone as well without doing a full change.

I had one on my last truck for 10 years with o problem and when I did my first oil change on this 4R I installed another one.

F103 - without nipple for V6 & V8.
F103N - with nipple for V6 & V8.

Their website (link in original post) has a couple new options that I haven't seen before.

Got a freebie when I got my RCI skids and sliders. I'll be installing it in the next two weeks when I do my next oil change.

They can get snubbed if you have one that juts out into space cuz it needs the adapter extension - my Miata's valve got hit by something and it smooshed it. Ah, they're cheap...

Will the factory bash plate protect one on a 3rd gen?

I have mine for couple years now and it's still working fine. It just takes a loooonnnnggg time to drain the oil.

I've had one on the 4R for 50k miles and swear by it. Love the convenience.

I have one on my 4R, F150, and Accord. They work great. Tell the people at Jiffy Lube or wherever you go if not changing the oil yourself for some reason that they don't have to remove it to drain the oil. They actually started to remove it on a friends F150.

I have one too, pretty much a necessity when you have skid plates. No issues ever!

Just decided to get one with the nipple.

I think the best one to get is the 103s which has the short nipple - only 3mm. Doesn't hang down as much as the 103n

I forgot to mention that if you get the F103N you can attach a piece of hose to it so the oil drains right in the catch pan and doesn't get whipped around by gusts of wind. I found out the hard way by opening the valve and went inside for a while. Oil spray all around the pan.
