Fun with keyfob

So we're at a highschool football stadium with a few hundred others. I looked across the field and could make out our 4Runner deep in the parking lot. There were some people hanging around it. They probably weren't up to anything, but for the heck of it I pulled out my keyfob and pressed the lock button. We had to have been at least 200 yards away, but darn if the rear turn signalss didn't flash. The folks around the T4R moved on. Youngest son thought it was hilarious. Yep, them 4Runner fobs have pretty good range, eh?

If you really want to have fun....hit the panic alarm.

And yes, they do have quite a range.

I noticed the same when I went to the beach this summer. Parked across the street from the in-laws condo and was up on their balcony on the beach and just happened to press the lock button and I couldnt believe how far these things reach! It was EASILY a football field, if not more..

The 4Runner's remote range is awesome. It easily goes 500-700 feet. On the other hand, my Tacoma's suck. I can stand right next it and it won't unlock.
