Fuse a winch?

has anyone fused a winch? or is it even a worthwhile idea?

bad idea. THey need massive amounts of amps. Check you model by my warn m8000 has a max amperage draw around 450A Your battery probably only has 500-750 CCA. If you do it you will likely just end up frying the fuse when you really need you winch
