Hi all! I plan on buying a 2010 4Runner in May. I had my heart set on getting a Trail Edition, but I then found out that the midwest doesn't get them. Also I can't wait like 2 months for them to order one cause I have school and work. So the next best thing is the SR5 4x4. So I have a few questions about the SR5.

This'll be my first suv, one of my main reasons for buying a suv is the weather in Missouri. Winters get pretty nasty out here, it could be sunny one day, then snow up to 12 inches+ the next day, followed by a storm of ice and sleet lol. So my question is, how does the SR5 4x4s do in some extreme cold weather? Deep snow, ice, sleet, slush, uphill, downhil, etc. Thanks for the input!

Andrew,

Where are you in the midwest? I got my TE in WI(in Milwaukee) about 2 months ago, and the dealer continually has 1-2 in stock.

Let me know. I would hate for you to miss out on the TE just to due something so minor.

I'm located in Saint Louis, Missouri. Dealers don't have them out on the lots, the last dealership I went to said they could order one, but it would take up to 10 weeks. I can't wait that long, if it was like 2-3 weeks, I could possibly have one of my roommates drive me around, but 10 weeks is bogus.

Milwaukee to St Louis is only like 6 hours if you are interested? I know the Sales GM over at Wilde Toyota.

Take a look.....
Wilde Toyota: Milwaukee New Toyota Dealer; Cars, Trucks, Used Toyotas, Sales, Service; West Allis, WI; Milwaukee, Greenfield, Brookfield, Waukesha, Madison

Thanks Brandon, I'll keep that in mind. But I think my parents are favoring the SR5 more cause its $5k cheaper, which also means I don't have to pay off that extra 5 lol.

The winter weather can get pretty nasty here in CO and I have been VERY happy with how well my SR5 has gotten around in the last couple storms weve had.

I'm in the midwest (Iowa) and the dealer here had a TE. If you really want the TE, thedn whatever dealer you use will get it for you from another dealership. My dealer brought my SR5 from 4 hours away. Get what you want!

That said, I love my SR5!
