Hello, that's true I recently went from 80 series to a 3rd gen. So far I'm very happy. And also new to this site, and this site is very impressive. I'm from AZ back in the day now loving it in Northern CO. Is there a lot of CO folks on here?

Welcome,

I made the same decision, years ago. Actually, the FZJ80 was a '95, which I got as my Company vehicle (tax writeoffs for company vehicles over 6K GVWR at the time :D).

In '97 I bought my 4Runner as a personal vehicle. So for 5 years I had both side-by-side. In that time I found the 4Runner to be generally more comfortable, more fun to drive with the 5-speed, and nearly as capable with the rear diff lock, as the fully locked 80 series.

11 years after selling the 80, I still have the 4Runner.

Ya Im really digging the 5speed, haven't got to wheel it much but it'll be nice to manage something a bit smaller thru the mountains.

:welcome:

NoCo you say? A few of us in the Fort Collins area, but most of the trails are closed from the flooding earlier this fall...

x2 on what he said. I'm in FoCo too, we need to hit some trails before it really gets too late so if your in the area feel free to tag along

Im drawn to that comment,,, is it the word cheapest or is it the easiest part..... Not sure, but unfortunately im slightly passed the running board removal. I have done a lift but I haven't got to the rest of the work done. I rub hard on the front bumper just pulling out the driveway. not to worried, ill get it handled.. you guys all seem pretty cool.

That makes two of us. Since I added more lift and finally tightened up my steering I cant stay off my rear fender flare. Time for more:flamethrwoer2:
