Galactic Gray Thread!

Clean build. Just picked me up a 1-owner 2007 w/ 103k miles yesterday. First then I am looking to do is window tint. What is your tint setup do you have?

Sorry...just now seeing this. Congrats on the 4Runner purchase. I didn't do an aftermarket tint. It was done that way by Gulf States Toyota...I bought mine off the showroom floor brand new in 2007 and it already had that tint.

Here’s mine. Picked it up from original owner on 11 Dec 18 with only 103k miles.

Since then I have added a few things:
Daystar 2.5/1.5, 5th gen Stock suspension (removed XREAS), P285/70/17 Falken at3w, 1.25” Spidertrax Wheelspacers, Plasti-dipped all chrome, 15%/25% Tint

Bought mine Last May with only 59,000 Miles on it.
It is stock for now...except tires
It already has been to Ouray and hopefully going to Moab in 2019

Really nice! I just bought a 2008 with higher miles to daily drive. Really liking this thing. First Toyota and 4x4 ever.
I am used to speed but really like how it drives and how solid it feels. Anyway, really like this gray color.
If I find a really nice one, I might buy it and sell mine. :)

Hows it going guys! Been surfing this thread for some time, specially considering I’ve been on the search for a galactic gray T4R. I recently picked up my 2006 4Runner Sport and it’s been such a blast. No major plans as of yet since I’ve been enjoying this thing as is! Thanks to you guys for the inspiration as well, very nicely done Runners in here.

07 Limited V6 2WD

Here is the wife's (will be mine soon) 07 Limited. I've only replaced the sub and we went to a 17" wheel/tire combo when the 18s started showing crazing in the finish which she didn't like. I'm planning on plasti-dipping the 18s and emblems, adding a 3/2 Toytec lift with rear coils and 5100s and audio upgrades. I'll also be looking for Sport side rails instead of the current boards.

Installed 2016 Tacoma TRD suspension in the front of my 2006 2wd V6 today, finally! I have the rear Bilsteins from the Tacoma also, so I'm thinking some springs to lift it about 1-2" in rear would be perfect. Have done a bunch of little stuff like all interior LED's, black housing headlights and taillights with all LED's, and have some yellow fogs and a grill project waiting to get done in spare time LOL. Here is a pic of the 4Runner originally, and now next to a neighbor's 3rd gen Tacoma TRD.

I realized I never posted here.

I've had my GG 4R since 2005? I bough it used with about 60k on the clock. I ran it stock for a very long time. I wanted to keep things simple. I only ran through 2 pairs of Nitto Terra Grapplers.

I eventually lifted it with Bilsteins 6112s and 5160s, threw on 275 70 17 Cooper AT3s and some spacers. I recently added JBA UCA to fix the camber and since my ball joint boots were torn. I wheel when I can but generally don't do anything extreme so I don't have any extreme mods. I only add on mods that I really need. As of now, I don't need steel bumpers and all the works. I should get some sliders as I high centered once and bent the crap out of my running boards LOL. I spend a lot of time in the desert so the bilsteins have treated me well. I'm currently around 250k and running strong. I love my 4th gen 4R.

My brother-in-law (his 1st gen monty) and my 4R in Trona Pinnacles last year. We went to go take Milky Way photos. He took this photo of our rigs.

2008 V8 SR5 4WD. 17" Methods with 285/70R17 Trail Grapplers.

Best vehicle I've ever owned. Moved me from California to Manitoba. Been back to/from California once via Yellowstone trails. Next stop, Texas!
