Garage Door Landing Gear Give Away

Before I had the Gobi ladder on my truck, the tail gate would hit the garage door and that was the cause of my first scratches.

Anyway, with the ladder I no longer need it and with the upcoming suspension change, I want every inch of garage clearance.

The landing gear uses the handle already build into most garage doors. It stays off the ground in order to stay clean.

Instead of touching the rubber at the bottom of the door that has dirt, rocks and debris on it, the door touches the rubber wheel; meaning if the truck moves (from unloading groceries etc) the wheel turns instead of scratches.

Whoever PM's claims it in this thread and PM's me first is welcome to have it and enjoy it. I'll stick it in a "if it fits it ships" box, so lower 48 only unless you want to pay for the shipping.

Great idea, I have something very similar too to protect the liftgate. A block of wood mounted to the door cloth covered padding/foam.

I use a pool noodle available for $1 at the dollar store. Cut a slit down it and slip it on.. Quick mod!
