Garage Door Opener Accessory Button Mod

Fracture

New member
I was planning on taking the small circuit board out of my garage door opener and putting it behind one of the extra accessory buttons I have beside my steering column. I'll post my progress and a walkthrough type thing incase someone wants to do the same. However, I was wondering if anyone has a suggest of what I could use as a button because besides from the diff lock button shown in picture, the other 'buttons' are just place holders and don't press in. Suggestions appreciated!

what i did was tacky, i just double stick that on the fuse cover, right at the edge of it, so its flat on the top with the fuse cover. we have the same remote, mines is the 3 button, i do want to get the homelink overhead console.

You know you can buy the overhead console for the garage door opener that fits perfectly, right? I did it years ago and it's great. Do a search and I'm sure you can find where to buy one.

The Toyota OEM overhead console with the "Homelink" buttons was like $85 and was super easy to install.
