Gas Cap Compatibility

Does anyone have a suggested locking gas cap for 5th Gens? Two friends purchased some off Amazon that list as compatible but both triggered check engine lights. Vapor leak.

Do you have a locking gas cap? No issues? I’d love to know where you got it.

you should have a lock gas cap !!!!!!!!!!!!!!
your in California many suck out the stealing of the gasoline ...
some of the gas caps have a lock and then the key creates a air leak ..
look up the locking caps for buyers see if it works..

I was on the news network to night ... california had gasoline sucking out vehicles and gas stations stole it...
a person on the video was under the truck opened the fill tank and sucked out the gasoline gas station ..
looks like crooks in california did not go to jail !!!!

Just like anything they want it they gonna take it ! Lady here runs a cleanup service for CSI had all her trucks drilled & gas stolen so........

Most new vehicles have anti-syphon systems. It's nice and all, but that means if thieves can't get it that way, they'll get it the other. All it takes is a screwdriver and a pan, puncture the bottom of the tank and catch it in the pan.
