Gas mileage

15.1 mixed local driving. Can get higher on the highway with no traffic.

Edit: Signature has mods....I beleive my engine mods are helping me get better gas mileage and I'm anal on preventative maintenance like fluid changes makes the 4R drive smoother henceforth better gas mileage - when not mashing the skinny pedal

2016 trail premium with KDSS. GOBI stealth, shrockworks sliders, 3 inch lift, and 285/70 17 nitto trail grapplers. I do probably 60/40 highway/city driving. I get 13 mpg. I’d be pretty happy if I got 15 or higher.

Similar setups, why I'm not rushing getting armor, right now....

I mainly do alot of short daily commutes and setting right around 15.8 mpg out on the road @70-75 its around 18.6 now thats with the 275's and going off the computer. Ive thought about doing the real math but really dont care that much. It gets what it gets and life goes on. Its a 4Runner not a little dinky car.

100% Stock '14 SR5

50/50 hwy/city driving

Slow takeoffs...drive the speed limit on my commute...constantly keeping my eyes on the ECO indicator instead of the road - 19mpg

Drive like a 41 year old with 2 kids and a mountain bike habit - 17mph

Does Eco do anything?

2013 limited, w/ 285/55/r20 Toyo tires, I get 17mpg. But I've noticed absolutely no difference with Eco OFF!!! Is the green light mostly to make us simply feel better!? lol

I up-sized to 275/70/17 BFG KO2's about 4k miles ago on my 2016 TRD Pro and my average mileage went from 17.4 down to 17.3. The tires are a huge improvement over stock Nittos, and the difference in mileage is negligible. I wouldn't go back to stock. Maybe take a look at what air pressure you are running at?

Exactly right especially because you never know if the current fill level was the same as the last fill level. The averages are darn close to the sticker listing, that's why they are there.

I have a lead foot, so heavy on the gas... On my 2016, I rarely got above 15 mpg.

On the '19 TRD Pro, I'm getting under 13 mpg.

14 Trail, only mod are Grabber AT2s, last 2 tanks was 95% city and averaged 15.5 mpg from mileage/fueling measurements,. Don't rely on the onboard computer anymore.

I'm averaging around 17.6 with 60% highway, 40% city in my '12 Limited thats stock. I'm curious to see if it changes after replacing all the fluids this weekend as I don't think anything other than engine oil has ever been changed.

my 2 cents...

I've got a 2018 Limited 4x4. Stock.

Before 1st oil change at 10,000 miles was getting about 15.8 to 15.9 around town and maybe 19 to 20 on the highway doing 70 to 75 with air on as doing it in summer in Texas.

Before oil change we did a trip to Minnesota and came home taking the "scenic" route. We were also tanking up with 91 to 93 pure gas, no ethanol, and only doing 65mph max. That stretch we were getting 23.8 to 24.9 mpg. That's the best we ever got.

Right now, I have switched from the Bridgestone tires to Michelin Defender tires and am running only 93 octane fuel and after the 10,000 mile oil change I am averaging 17.1 mpg around town.

We are headed up to Minnesota for Thanksgiving, so am curious to see how we do on that trip. And hoping this time we are not driving up in a headwind and driving home in a headwind like we got two years ago.

OK MPG in after Minnesota Trip. Running from Dallas, Texas to Missouri we had a huge south wind and we averaged 22 to 23 mpg headed north.

Next day running from Missouri to Minnesota drove thru ice and snow in south Iowa we were getting 20mpg then we were getting 18 after picking up tons of ice on the truck from the storm.

Return trip --

Got about 20 mpg headed from Minnesota to Missouri.

Leaving Missouri and headed to Dallas driving thru the massive cold front that blasted thru we only were getting 17mpg.

Once we turned fully south at Tulsa did our mpg pick up to around 22.

So driving thru cold fronts or having a warm front at your tail makes a huge difference.

A friend of mine has a heavily modified Ltd (full time 4wd). His has steel bumpers and sliders and 315/70/17 KM3 if I’m not mistaken and this’s the mpg he’s getting,it’s amazing to me at least.

Icon stage 7. His wife and his 2 year old are always with him,so he’s a cautious driver. I’m not sure about regearing but I’m asking him now.
