Gas pump issues

went to get fuel today...the pump nozzle got stuck in the 4runner's fuel inlet. i've never had this before and had to literally apply a lot of force to get it out of the vehicle.

secondly, i noticed that there wasn't a "small door" (by door i mean after you unscrew the fuel cap and look down the gas line) in the fuel tank inlet in the 4runner. wondering if that is normal, could that have been part of the problem?

weird.

Here in Kansas we don't have the covered nozzles like California and other places. Sometimes the spring that's wound around the nozzle to keep it from slipping out, can catch on the neck of the inlet pipe. I've had this happen a couple of times; but not in our 4Runner.

That used to happen all the time in my F150. I'd say about every 3 fill-ups the nozzle would get stuck and I'd have to really yank to get it out.

Only issue I have is that it’s now reaching the $75 range for an 87octane! But the gas pump getting stuck, never experienced it at all.

you better vote yes to repeal the gas tax in the next few days in the cali election, and vote against all the dems who put it into effect in the first place.
