Hey. I have 170,000 miles on my 96 4runner. Recently I have only been getting about 275 miles highway per tank. Does anyone know why i am only getting this much?

170.000 maybe a good tune up?. give us details to what you have done to the truck for those 170.000miles

yea I probably would need a good tuneup. umm..for most of the miles, its been just going on trips to the beach and skiing. i just started getting really intrested in trails and etc..

Yea, a good tune up does wonders for your gas miliage and performance.

i have a 96' also, and recently i had my injectors cleaned (by toyota) and that made a huge difference. Plus other things, basic service does help alot.
