Gauges not working.

Seeking help with a similar R flashing issue

HEY, I engineer things all the time, like lunch.

First glance at this situation, and TheDurk is right I do love these things, both the R indicator light circuit and the RH turn signal circuit go through connector 1H at the Driver's side J/B. Pin 5(R Indicator) and Pin 13(Rt Turn) are right next to each other. Coincidence?

IBallEngineer & TheDurk - I know this is an old/dead post but I don't believe I've been on/posted enough to start my own posts yet.

This is the first post I've seen with a somewhat similar issue - the R flashing with the turn signals (ECT also flashes with turn, Hazard causes a similar flash & turning on the interior dash lights - click 1 or 2 on the steering column causes the turn signals to flash the wrong direction)

I've had my '02 SR5 going on 2 years & love it but my OCD is going crazy with the gremlin I let in the electrical - do one of you think you may be able to assist trouble shooting with a bit more detail.

This all occured after an LED light swap at the same time I sound deadened - I knocked out the amp with the sound deadening - degreaser killed the chassis ground - found that - just can't figure out the electric.

Seems like IBallEngineer has the scoop on how everything wires together!

thanks in advance...

OK, lets start with a clear explanation of your problem. What does click 1 or 2 on the steering column mean?
List the symptoms one at a time, don't assume I know what you mean about anything. I am not there to see it, you are.

Then tell me about the LED swap, what did you swap? Details please.

Your problem is the flex PCB on the back of your gauge cluster. It is damaged and 'connecting' seemingly random circuits in your car...

There are a few different versions of it, so make sure it matches your vehicle exactly. New they are like $50.

It looks like this:
