Not a lot of room in the instrument cluster to stuff a gauge, unless it's itty bitty. You might get one to fit somewhere that its not blocking anything.
The next spot would be on the a-pillar in a gauge pod but I personally wouldn't put a gauge pod in a 4Runner. Gauge pods scream rice to me.
Perhaps the little flip out door under the radio?
