Gauging interest: Custom Carbon Fiber Door Pillars for 03+ 4Runners, Now available

4th gen 4Runner owners have been asking for more items to help customize their vehicle. I may have something that is really cool.

Real carbon fiber door pillars that are made to go on your EXTERIOR B pillars. These will cover your existing plastic pieces (with the bumps) on your stock pillars while making your truck a little sportier. Subtle, classy, unique.

UV protected pieces that will not yellow or fade over time. The 3M backing will be spaced in from the edges of the pieces -- This prevents dust/dirt from collecting on edges. Edges are also tapered down where the clear coat ends giving a nice & "finished" look. This is the same way the dash kits are done.

I've had these custom made for some Titan owners and they love them. I can have them made for the 4Runner if there is interest.

I personally wouldn't buy them but they would probably look good. Not enough bang for the buck for me I suspect though.

How much will they be and can you get a pic a little further away?

There are more pics on the link I posted. These will be a custom item. Quality is outstanding with tapered edges and lifetime warranty against any fading/cracking, etc.

I don't have pricing yet. The Titan ones are HUGE, and are of course much more than these will be. I'll update thread when/if there is more interest.

The cool thing is, from far away, they blend in nice. BUT, when you get up close to it, that's where it looks sweet.

I'd buy them if they aren't too expensive. They do add a sporty touch and you can compare them to door sills. They don't do anything but look kewl

I don't see how any double sided tape would stick good to our pillars since its has bumps all over them?

They aren't raised enough to cause a problem.

I just realized that I can't put these on my truck since I have the Canadian Visors. They utilize a pedestal that goes over that part. I'm still interested in the CF Dash kit though. I'll send you an email about them when I have the cash (probably in another month)

I've tried to price these as best as I could from the start. Since this is a custom item, my cost isn't much less. If I did do a group buy, I'd need 10 people, and I doubt 10 sets would sell that fast. Plus, I'd only be able to make them about $10 cheaper.

I can say these pillars look 10 times better in person.
