Gauging interest in Land Cruiser springs.

Hey everyone, been a while since I've been very active on here because I've been spending more of my time on ih8mud. I recently started hanging out with some guys that have lifted a few FZj80s and as a result they have several sets of various Cruiser springs sitting in their shop and I thought it might be a good chance for some guys to pick up LC coils on the cheap as they would be somewhat plentiful from them.

I didn't want to just post up in the classified section without first seeing what kind of interest there would be. If there is enough interest, I'll make a post in the classifieds. I would have made a poll, but I'm on my iPad and not exactly sure how to.

Please let me know any questions or comments you might have as well.

I think I'm set, but that's a cool gesture to offer some guys here a possible inexpensive opportunity to get lifted. Saving $$ on one mod just leaves more funds for others!

Ya as long as they don't gouge people on prices, it should work out great. I paid $100 shipped for my 7 wraps, which I think is a good deal.

Just put an ad in the classifieds listing what each set is.

If you don't like what's happening in terms of interest, just delete the ad.

That said, they go quickly here.

I don't know what each set is right now. I would need to pull all the boxes down and go through them, which it looks like I will be doing tomorrow, based on interest today. They told me to come up with pricing, so I'll check out what others have been going for and put that up in the ad as well.

The idea behind asking first was to let me know if it would be worth going through the boxes, or just leaving it be.

I'll get them posted up tomorrow and put a link to the ad in this thread for those that have expressed interest here. If anyone has any questions, please PM me, as I don't want this thread to veer off topic too far and upset any mods.

This still leaves guys looking for their own Tundra coils, but those can be found in a salvage yard very easily. They aren't TRD coils, they're just the 4WD coils, so find a Tundra with 4WD and you'll get the yellow/yellow and yellow/blues.

No, that's not correct. Only the TRD have the yellow/yellow and yellow/blue coils. I had a yard trying to sell me several sets of non yellow/yellow and yellow/blue that were in 4WD Tundras that they had easy access to. I made them pull the coils that were in a TRD version to get the right ones.

Mine came off a stock 4WD Tundra. Maybe because it was Limited? I don't know about Tundras to comment on why the Limited had it, but there were no TRD badged/stickers on it.

I can't answer for that one, but I do know for a fact that there are other springs on 4WD Tundras and not all of them have the correct springs.

It could be that the Limited has them also or that the owner removed the TRD stickers. I always remove stickers like that from my vehicles. Either way, physically checking the springs before pulling them/buying them is 100% foolproof.

Access cab Tundras have the correct coils. Not just 4WD. The full 4 door Tundras do not have the correct coils. The coils you want are from the Tundras with 2 front doors, and the half back doors if that makes sense. 4WD and Limited doesn't matter.

It has been deleted and I'm not completely sure why or what rules, if any, were broken. I've sent a PM to the classifieds moderator, but haven't heard anything back yet. Perhaps I somehow tripped a spam filter?

Either way, if anyone has any questions, they can certainly PM me or ask here (as long as the 3rd Gen mods are okay with that, I certainly wouldn't want to cause any problems).

Hopefully the ad will be back up soon as I don't want to sell through this thread due to it not following the topic of 3rd Gen tech and discussion.
