I have a 97 4runner, and my problem is when my car is turned on the lights of the gear box doesn't light up. So when I'm driving at night, it is hard to see if I am putting the car into reverse, neutral or drive, or gear 2. I have resorted to counting.
Its a minor problem but I don't know much about cars yet and trying to learn more. I was wondering if anyone knew what the problem is, how much it may cost to fix it, and if I'm able to fix it myself.
