Hey guys, let me just start out by apologizing ahead of time. I know that this info is here somewhere but I cannot seem to find it. I want to do a comprehensive fluid change on my new 4Runner. I know that will be using Lucas gear oil, maybe Mobil 1. I am planning on using 75w 90. I am wondering if anyone can supply me with how many quarts I will need for front, rear diffs and transfer case? Also if I drain the auto tranny of my 99 Limited how much will I need and also is there an accepted synthetic offering that is viewed favorably?
Gear oil suggestions and amounts...?

Please do not use Lucas. They have done an amazing job with advertising, sponsorships, and motoaports in general, but do not put out a top product. Their products are well priced, but with lubricant you get what you pay for. For an ethanol treatment or injector cleaner sure go with Lucas. But really look into amsoil and redline for lubrication. They have put more money into research than magazine ads. Amsoil works wonders in all manual trans, transfer case, and differential applications. I have never directly used redline, but know people who have and I always include it in my research.

I used Toyota coolant and transmission fluid and had my local Toyota dealer change them.
For the differentials and transfer case I used Amsoil Severe Gear 75W-90 in all three (4th gen).
I also started greasing my own zeros about the time I changed the gear lubes, so I don't know if it was the grease or the Amsoil, but my front end clunk is gone and shifting into 4X4 is smoother.
